Dynamo vs Arsenal: Lineups and Updates
By: Yevy | September 17th, 2008A rumor from the Dynamo camp has been confirmed: Artem Milevskiy will not feature in tonight’s contest. He is still suffering from the ankle injury picked up in Ukraine’s match against Belarus. As expected, Samir Nasri is out for Arsenal.
Dynamo: Bogush, Betao, Diakhate, Mykhalyk, Nesmachniy, Vukojevic, Yussuf, Yeremenko, Aliev, Ninkovic and Bangoura.
Substitutes: Shovkovskiy, Ghioane, Morozyuk, Shatskikh, Kravets, Olexander Romanchuk and Asatiani.
Arsenal: Almunia, Sagna, Toure, Gallas, Clichy, Walcott, Fabregas, Song Billong, Denilson, Van Persie and Adebayor.
Substitutes: Fabianski, Vela, Ramsey, Wilshere, Djourou, Bendtner and Eboue.
——————-
No goals and no cards at the break. Adebayor, Van Persie and Fabregas each blew golden chances for Arsenal. Dynamo had an iffy penalty shout turned down.
——————-
‘62: Gallas misjudges a clearance at midfield, leading to a Dynamo counter which culminates with Sagna tackling Bangoura in the box. Bangoura makes no mistake from the spot and it’s 1-0 Dynamo!
——————-
‘78: Bendtner and Eboue on for Song and Sagna. It’s been all Dynamo the last 10 minutes, and they should have made it two on several occasions.
——————-
‘87: Dynamo blows a 2 on 1 break, and like clockwork, Arsenal equalizes at the other end. It’s freakin’ Gallas, of all people…
——————-
It’s over, 1-1 the final. A fair and reasonable result for Dynamo, but oh so unsatisfying.
