Porto 0 – 1 Dynamo: Aliyev Bomb Earns The Points
By: Yevy | October 21st, 2008
Porto goakeeper Nuno didn’t do his homework. Watching Oleksandr Aliyev line up for a 30 meter free kick from the left wing, the veteran Portugese should have known what the Dynamo midfielder produced from that exact spot less than a month ago. As the delivery came in, Nuno reacted towards his near post, only to be left flailing helplessly as the ball took a right turn mid flight and rippled the net at the far corner. It was a carbon copy of Aliyev’s goal against Kryvbas, and provided the margin for a crucial Dynamo road victory in the Champions League Group G.
Artem Milevskiy made his return to competitive football, coming on as a sub for Ismael Bangoura to start the second half. Milevskiy started Friday’s UPL match against Zorya Luhansk, setting up Bangoura for the opener of a four goal salvo in the first 15 minutes, sending Dynamo on their way to a 5-0 stroll. It was a far cry from today’s battle at Estadio do Dragao, a tactical encounter that earned Dynamo their best European result in years. Match details and the goal are below, and I will have much more for you soon.

Great result & performance, hope Dynamo get through the group stage. If they can get a win and a draw from their next 2 home games, surely they’ll be in the knockout stages for once
