Congrats Yevy. While doing research on Dynamo I saw how many goals they have scored in the UPL this year. That scored me a lot coming into the 2nd leg. Again congrats. You are always welocome at the Valencia blog. Good luck against Metalist. I hope Dynamo wins the UEFA Cup (that way us Valencia fans can say, “Yea, we got knocked out, but it was by the champs.” Congrats.

Yevy – just what I was hoping to see. Great news and I’m looking forward to the next round against Metalist Kharkiv.

Thank you Kyle. Dynamo should be poised to make a strong run with perhaps the biggest hurdle already behind them. Metalist have a really entertaining team and Jaja Coelho is a name that will be well known across Europe in no time. But we should have the mental edge over them because to other Ukrainian teams (Shakhtar excluded) Dynamo is Goliath.

We have indeed piled up the goals in league play this season, but our European outings were a different story. Today was the first time we’ve scored 2 goals since the start of the CL group stage. We also matched our entire total of goals from open play (yup, 2). It was scary for me as well since half of our goals were watching from the stands in the form of Milevskiy and Bangoura. Artem Kravets’s tally coming into today? 1 lonely goal from 8 UPL appearances. Go figure…

j – what an amazing day!

    Dynamo over Valencia
    Metalist over Sampdoria
    Shakhtar over Tottenham

    and

    CSKA over Aston Villa
    Zenit over Stuttgart

Not in my wildest dreams did I think that was possible. CSKA v Shakhtar is going to quite the battle, too.
