I will have the full review of today’s UEFA Cup match between Dynamo and Valencia for you soon, but for now lets see what those closest to the action had to say.

Dynamo manager Yuri Semin:

The draw was not kind to us. Valencia showed their ability to control the ball. They got the first goal and if they had gotten a second it would have been all over for us. Valencia is a top quality team and if we could match their class we would have won. (Artem) Milevskiy’s sending off was disappointing. (Milos) Ninkovic’s injury let us down. But nothing has been decided yet, and we will be getting ready for February 26.

Valencia boss Unai Emery:

It was an even contest. Dynamo pressed us but we scored first and the match evened out after that. I think the result was deserved. I am happy with our play. We created two chances and got one goal. We still need to improve defensively. I am not sure what is wrong with (goalkeeper) Cesar yet but he complained about his knee.

Stanyslav Bohush:

You could say 1-1 against such an opponent, especially playing with ten men, is a good result. But it also favors Valencia because they get to go back home. It will be difficult in Spain and we will do everything possible to go through, and if that’s not enough we will do the impossible.

Ognjen Vukojevic on David Silva:

David was great. He’s difficult to play against because he so quick and has good technique. But he’s also tough physically and deserved his goal.

Reactions to Milevskiy’s second yellow for diving, starting with Dynamo president Ihor Surkis:

I do not comment on officiating but this kind of travesty I have not seen in Kiev in a long time.

Semin:

What can my player do when he gets hacked across both legs? Watch the replay and you will agree with me.

Bohush:

No comment. You all saw what happened and there can only be one conclusion.

Emery:

I don’t think the referee favored Valencia.
